What happens if a mechanics lien is filed on my home because the General Contractor has not paid his Sub?

I had work done for my house after a flood and the contractor has not paid the sub due to issues not only on several other jobs. They have not paid the sub any money on my project even though I have paid a portion to the Contractor.
