When do I give away possession of a motorcycle when selling it with an outstanding lien?

The buyer will be sending me the money. I will pay off the loan and receive the title in the mail since the title department with my lien-holder is not local. At which point do I give possession of the motorcycle to the buyer? After I get my money? Or wait till the title comes and give both at the same time? I don't want to get into any snafu if they wreck it before I sign the title over.
